Natalee Harris, CPA

director

Natalee is a founding member of Platform Tax & Consulting, and currently acts as the firm's Tax Partner. Natalee has a variety of experience working with small and medium sized enterprises across a number of industries. Natalee received a Master of Taxation from University of Denver and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Utah and Colorado.

Caryn Thacker, CPA

principal

Caryn joined Platform in 2016 with the merging of her firm into the Platform family. Caryn began her career working in a variety of accounting and tax roles within various mid and large sized health care companies in the region. In 1998 she opened her own public accounting firm and has been providing tax and consulting services to small businesses throughout the Western United States since. She holds a BS in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Utah.

Stephanie Beaton, CPP

Stephanie is a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and a member of the American Payroll Association (APA). Stephanie has over 20 years of working in the payroll field and enjoys providing exceptional customer service to all her clients. She enjoys spending time with her family and the outdoors when not in the office.

Craig Barlow

business consultant

Craig received his Bachelor's in Accounting from Weber State University and is currently working on his MBA at Western Governors University. Craig has over 22 years in the financial services industry and has worked with dozens of small business owners. He specialized in small business consulting and really enjoys working with the owners closely and finding ways to help them grow to the next level in their business. He enjoys traveling, skiing and other ways to spend time with his family. Fun Fact - Craig has a soil-less, hydroponic farm in his basement growing 10 varieties of vegetables year-round.

Danielle Bird

Dani began her career with a predecessor EA firm that joined the Platform family in 2015. She has over eight years of managing the day-to-day doings of independent accounting firms. She currently oversees multiple internal processes and workflows and handles all Accounts Payable for the Salt Lake City office. Her and her family reside in Herriman, Utah.

Hannah Hinde

bookkeeper

Hannah is currently finishing her bachelor's degree in accounting at Utah Valley University, but no worries she has been working in the accounting department for the past 9 years specializing in bookkeeping and working as a staff accountant. She has worked with a broad range of business, both great and small and loves to help wherever possible! When not in the office Hannah spends her time with her family and friends out on the lacrosse field!

Idaho Team

TJ Anderson, CPA

Director

TJ joined Platform from a highly respected regional firm in 2017. TJ leads the day-to-day operations of the Pocatello office, and the Southeastern Idaho region. TJ specializes in agriculture and partnership taxation. He is a licensed CPA in the state of Idaho and is active in a variety of local professional societies and community groups.

Ben Allen, CPA

tax manager

Ben is originally from a small potato farm up by Rexburg, Idaho. He attended BYU-Idaho and then Idaho State University to get his MBA. He has worked in public accounting since 2011 in a variety of controller and taxation roles. Most of his experience is with small business owners and agriculture. When he can get away from the office he spends time with his family, fishing, or golfing.

Dave Capell, CPA

Dave Capell is seasoned CPA and former partner of Engleson, Capell and Engleson, a Platform predecessor firm. Dave has spent the majority of his career serving small and medium size businesses and individual clients. Dave is an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoys all that the Southeastern Idaho wilderness offers.

Lorne Engleson, CPA

principal

Lorne joined Platform Tax & Consulting in 2018 as a Principal. Lorne was a partner in a Platform predecessor Engleson, Capell and Engleson. Lorne specializes in individual and small business taxation, as well as payroll tax reporting. Lorne is a huge supporter of Idaho State University football and spends a lot of time bailing his two curious puppies out of all kinds of trouble they find themselves in.

Michelle Zaharias

Michelle has lived all of her life on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation. She has been married for 20 years and is the mom of 4 wonderful boys and the grandma of 3 beautiful girls. She has worked in the accounting industry for 25+ years, as a paraprofessional. She is proficient with QuickBooks and payroll. She loves restoring classic cars with her husband.
